Gastrointestinal Problems

Gastrointestinal Problems

If you have a Gastrointestinal Problem, you may often miss work or school and feel less able to participate in daily activities. While these conditions aren’t necessarily life-threatening, they can be long-lasting problems that change the way you live your life.

GI Problems usually don’t lead to more severe diseases, but there are a few things to look out for that can indicate a more serious condition. You should call your doctor immediately if you experience symptoms such as: rectal bleeding, unexpected weight loss, fever, or vomiting

Other common GI Problem symptoms include:

  • Abdominal pain and cramps.
  • Excess gas.
  •
  • Change in bowel habits such as harder, looser, or more urgent stools than normal.
  • Alternating constipation and diarrhea.

ATLAS CLINICS has helped relieve some of the symptoms of many GI Problems using Atlas protocols. At Atlas, we look at the top bone of the spine which is called the atlas. If the atlas is displaced, it can cause digestive problems such as ulcers, GERD and many other conditions.

A nerve called the ‘vagus nerve’ runs from the brain to the abdomenis (a pair of muscles which run down the abdomen and hold the internal organs in place) and is very close to the atlas at its origin. Displacement of the atlas can cause dysfunction of the vagus nerve (which controls digestion as one of its functions).

Additionally, the brain controls all of the functions of the body. The blood vessels going to the brain and to the nerves exiting the brain (which control the gut and abdomen), all pass through the atlas. If the atlas is displaced, it can put pressure on these blood vessels and nerves, which results in their impaired function.

ATLAS CLINICS has had good results with these conditions. During your consultation and exam, we will determine if your atlas is out of place, possibly affecting the nerves controlling the bowels. If we find that it is displaced, we will use specialized spinal engineering software and digital X-rays to determine exactly where the atlas is, and what we need to do to move it back to its proper position.

We will then use a painless, sound-wave-based adjustment to realign the atlas. This restores blood flow to the brain and removes interference from the nerves, allowing them to function correctly.
